It's time to ditch the old drab hairstyle and experiment with some new sassy and breezy hairstyles.

Layering haircuts are very much in and experimented with these days. To give you more insight, we bring to you five new and hot layer hair styles that will make heads turn. For your better understanding, these hairstyles are described according to the face shape. So, the next time you go to a salon, you know what to get for yourself!

Oval Face:

If you are one of them who is blessed with an oval face, an Inversion Layer haircut is the best to opt for. This hairdo complements both medium-length hair to long hair. In addition, it does not make the face appear long. Furthermore, for girls who face the problem of thin hair, this particular haircut adds volume to the crown which gives a more fuller look. It gives the right bouncy movement.

Round Face:

Square layer haircuts are for girls with round faces. It defines the angles of the face and balances the features. Medium length hair looks exceptionally good in this hairstyle. Soft curls with a side swept bangs breaks the roundness of the face, giving it a more oval look.

Square Face:

If you have a strong jawline, then consider yourself lucky. But yeah, when it comes haircuts, sure you don't want to look boxy. To soften the angles of the face, opt for a pie-layer cut as this cut has lots of graduated layers.
Anyone with this face shape can opt for a mid-length hairdo. Usually, it's better to avoid fringes and side bangs as they will accentuate the angles more, which is definitely a no-no!
Now that we know so much about haircuts, let's play with some colours to give your hair the peppy look.
Gone are the days when colouring was limited to only global or highlighting streaks, the talk of the town are "Ombre" colours. Celebrities are all seen sporting this trend, hair colour that features natural hues at the roots with gradual colour tones at the ends. You can try bold colours like reds to soft shades as browns and gold.
We often associate colour blocking with clothing but this trend is slowly catching up in hairstyling too. "Block" colouring is a technique which involves colouring only some chunks of the hair in one or two desired colours. Most preferred areas are the bangs or a back portion of the hair. Looks best with soft, sleek straight hair as it gives a proper definition.
